Marisa Miller, Treasurer
Marisa Cortez Miller was born in El Paso, TX. She went to Van Horn High School in Van Horn, TX and graduated as the class Valedictorian in 1996. Marisa received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in Political Science in 2001.
In the spring of 2000, Marisa became a sister of Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority, Inc. Marisa and seven other ladies founded the Beta Omicron Chapter at the University of Michigan. Lambda Theta Alpha’s principles are based on Unity, Love, and Respect. As she grows older, these principles have become words to live by: Unity amongst family and friends, Love all, and Respect all.
Marisa has been a public servant since 2000. Marisa started out as a police dispatcher then became a police officer for the City of El Paso, Texas in 2002. Marisa is also a mother of three children, a husband, and a dog.
